Stability Enhancement of DFIG Based Wind Turbine Under Three Phase Fault with STATCOM

The main aim of this paper is to improve the transient stability Doubly Fed Induction Generator (DFIG) based wind turbine using Static Synchronous Compensator (STATCOM). In paper, a multi-objective problem formulated minimize voltage deviations at point common coupling (PCC) and mitigate low frequency oscillations after clearing faults. Genetic algorithm STATCOM controller used enhance grid-connected farm composed variable-speed generator system (WTGS). performance proposed control scheme analyzed with three-phase fault. Simulations are carried out in MATLAB/Simulink environment.
